During an interview on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Cam’ron discussed his past experiences with Juelz Santana and how he used to have to push him to work on music.
Cam’ron revealed that when Santana was a teenager, he would have to lock him in the house to ensure he focused on writing songs. Despite the initial resistance, this approach resulted in the creation of numerous hit tracks. However, as Santana grew older, Cam’ron realized that he couldn’t continue treating him in the same manner. He acknowledged that Santana had become a grown man and deserved to be treated with respect.
Cam’ron reminisced about the times when they were about to go out to the club and would stay at their Chicago crib. He would challenge Santana to finish a song before they left, promising him the company of a woman if he succeeded. This unconventional method served as motivation for Santana to complete his verses, leading to the creation of popular tracks like “Gangsta Music,” “Santana’s Town,” and “Hey Ma.”
