NEWSIslamic organization applauds the Kano government for outlawing immoral school texts

The Kano State Government has received praise from the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) for banning various textbooks because of their detrimental and sexually explicit material from use in nursery, primary, and secondary schools.

Hassan Indabawa, the chairman of MURIC in Kano, praised the government’s decision to remove some offensive teaching materials from the basic school curriculum in a statement.

According to him, the government of Kano, led by Governor Abba Yusuf, made the right decision at the appropriate moment.

As a result, he stated, “all parents, educators, students, and advocates must embrace and support the initiative in order to curb the alarming rise of immorality among the state’s youth.”
