Bun B acknowledges Busta Rhymes for using “Get Throwed” in his music.

On Friday, Bun B took to Instagram to give a shout-out to Busta Rhymes after the release of his latest album, BLOCKBUSTA.

Busta sampled Bun B’s 2005 track, “Get Throwed,” for his song “BIG EVERYTHING” featuring DaBaby and T-Pain. Bun B praised Busta for bringing back the Trill Nostalgia and creating a great record.

He also commended Busta for collaborating with T-Pain and DaBaby, calling it a “trill ass trifecta.” T-Pain and others also joined in on the praise in the comments section.

Bun B’s 2005 album, Trill, included the track “Get Throwed,” which featured collaborations with Pimp C, Z-Ro, Young Jeezy, and JAY-Z. Recently, Bun B discussed JAY-Z’s contribution to the song and revealed that he took shots at an undisclosed rival. During an interview with Elliott Wilson on the Rap Radar podcast in 2017, Bun B explained, “If you listen to JAY’s verse on ‘Get Throwed,’ you’ll notice shots fired in bars 8 to 12, and there were even more shots from bars 12 to 16.” However, he made it clear that Nas was not the target of these disses, stating, “No, this was before that… this was more internal.” Be sure to check out Bun B’s post for Busta Rhymes below.

Bun B Praises Busta Rhymes

Busta Rhymes kicked off the rollout for his 11th solo studio album, BLOCKBUSTA, back in June with the release of the BIA-assisted single, “BEACH BALL.” Other artists featured on the tracklist include Quavo, Young Thug, Coi Leray, Swizz Beatz, Kodak Black, DaBaby, Giggs, and more.
