Recently, Nicki Minaj made an announcement on X platform regarding her plan to offer a unique opportunity to select songs for the deluxe edition of Pink Friday 2 to some of her devoted fans, known as the Barbz.
As part of the contest requirements, she requested them to provide evidence of purchasing all four versions of the album, either digitally or on vinyl. However, she promptly informed them that Billboard attempted to hinder her contest by threatening to deduct some of her album sales due to her request for proof of purchase.
In a written statement, she expressed, “I have been discussing my 100 Barbz contest for months. They informed me that Billboard reached out and warned that they might reduce my sales because I shared information about the 100 Barbz initiative. I am eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the next 6 hours so that I can share some exciting news with all of you. Interestingly, I can freely distribute millions of dollars through CashApp, though. It’s amusing. Therefore, Barbz, kindly disregard my request for PROOF of something that has already been DELIVERED OR PURCHASED, as it goes against the rules. I apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
